The ValueMag Intelligent Swipe Reader is designed for POS and desktop applications where space is at a premium. The entire unit is just 90mm long (about the length of a credit card), giving it the smallest footprint of any unit with comparable features.
PowerMag Magstripe Reader with Optional BarCode Capability
The PowerMag reads and decodes up to three tracks of information with a single swipe in either direction. By attaching an undecoded laser, CCD, wand, or slot scanner to a PowerMag with the optional bar code capability, the same unit can decode scanned bar code data, as well as read and decode magnetic stripe media. |

Intelligent Magstripe Swipe Readers/Writers
Reads and writes magnetic stripe media throughout a wide range of applications, from financial transactions to access control, driver license verification to loyalty programs. The reader/writer handles multiple media - event tickets, cards, badges, passbooks, driver licenses - from .010" (.25 mm) to .080" (2.03 mm) thick. Reads/writes up to 3 tracks of ISO, ATB2 or custom data formats; writes at 75 or 210 BPI (user controlled) and reads after writing for data verification. Units feature RS-232 or TTL interface and rugged metal housing for durability. Low- and high-coercivity models available. Also available 7x4/7x5/7x7 IBM Series, which incorporates the same feature set as the 7x2 Series for IBM compatible environments. Specifically designed for financial applications, this series of readers and reader/writers offers a low cost, reliable replacement for IBM MSR's and MSRE's, as used in 4704, PS/2 and RISC 6000 financial systems. |
